Since the 1940s, the so-called "international" style has been imposed in the architecture of skyscrapers with an abundance of straight lines and a wide use of glass. It is the Design and Concept of TIMES SQUARE®'s Lighting Blocks.

Transparency or not of the tesserae, it is the contrast with the exterior that creates the desired atmosphere.
The generous lighting emphasizes the concept.
The structure of the facade emphasizes the verticality of the architecture. Here everything seems to be oriented towards the top: green, blue, orange and pink stretch in narrow strips over the entire surface while the rows of windows simulated by the tesserae along the whole length let us imagine the floors.
